Darrel Simmons, raised in Lawson, Missouri, moved to Oklahoma to join the oil boom in 1980. Darrel initially worked for 8 years in all areas of the well service industry. Managing a yard for Pool Well Service for 4 years. Expanding his experience, Darrel moved on to become a Production Foreman for 4 years with an operating company located in Norman, Oklahoma. With this company, he was directly involved in the evaluation of acquisitions and divestiture for oil and gas properties along with workovers and recompletions.

In 1993, Darrel took his years of hands-on experience and started his own company, BCM Properties, becoming a broker and consultant in the Texas panhandle for Newfield Exploration for the last 1 ½ years.

Along with his wife Dianna, Darrel resides in Waukomis, Oklahoma where they have raised three children, Brian, Christopher (dec.), and Megan and are members of the North Garland Church of Christ. Darrel and his family now enjoy the company of their daughter-in-law Lori, and two energetic and spirited grandchildren.


John Paul (J.P. ) Dick

Petroleum Engineer / Owner

J.P. Is the founder and manager of Pinnacle Energy Services, LLC. He has been a consulting petroleum engineer in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma since 1998. He provides reserve and economic evaluations, regulatory expert testimony, well and field reviews, and various reservoir and operations analyses to numerous clients concerning primarily Mid-Continent oil and gas activities.

From 1994 to 1998, J. P. Was a Senior Petroleum Engineer with JMA Resources in Oklahoma City, directing and performing their reservoir engineering activities and providing corporate support to MCNIC Oil and Gas, the primary company partner. During this time over 250 new wells were drilled, 300 recompletions or workovers were performed, and over 1000 operated and non-operated wells were managed.

From 1991 to 1994, J. P. Held the position of Advanced Petroleum Engineer with Marathon Oil Company in Oklahoma City, where he was responsible for reservoir and exploitation engineering for areas and properties in Oklahoma, Michigan, and Arkansas.

From 1983 to 1991, John performed reservoir and operations engineering duties for Enserch Exploration, Inc. In Dallas and Bridgeport, Texas and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Included in his responsibilities were development well proposals, field supervision, production optimization, and other engineering activities related to overseeing operated and non-operated properties in Oklahoma and North Texas. He also wrote miscellaneous software for the company including a hydraulic fracturing program.

J. P. Graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the states of Oklahoma and Texas and is a member of SPE. Additional state registration applications are pending.


Ken Austin

An Oklahoma Native, Ken graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science degree.

A second-generation Texaco employe, he joined the Company as a roustabout in December of 1975, where he advanced to the position of Ardmore Area Manager in the fall of 1989.  Ken held various management positions in the Production Department and Gas Plants, retiring from ChevronTexaco in March of 2002 after 26 years service.

Along with his son, Tommy, his wife of seven years, Barbara, and father, Lloyd, Ken formed Austin Gas Properties, LLC in April of 2002. Austin Gas Properties joined the Midwest Energy Auction Team in December of 2006, bringing petroleum engineering (Lloyd Austin was recently inducted into the University of Oklahoma’s School of Engineering Distinguished Graduates Society), computer programming (Barbara retired from the Oklahoma Department of Labor in 2007), design (Tommy graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2000), and oil and gas production skills to the group.

Ken Austin has worked through Plaster and Wald Corporation of Mustang, Oklahoma as an oil and gas well completion consultant since March of 2004, and is currently working as contract Completion Superintendent for Newfield Exploration in Western Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle.


Troy Lippard

Troy D. Lippard, President of United Country Lippard Auctioneers, Inc. is a graduate of Missouri Auction School (1988) and a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana acquiring a CAI designation (Certified Auctioneers Institute) in real estate. He holds an auction and real estate broker’s licenses in numerous states.He is a member of the National Auctioneers Association, Oklahoma State Auctioneers Association and numerous other states. He is a graduate of Lincoln Appraisal School, Dallas, TX and also a graduate of the Thompson Advertising School in Kansas City, Kansas(1992).

He is the 1999 Oklahoma State Champion Auctioneer, a 5- time finalist in the International Auctioneers Championship Contest and a 3- time finalist in the All World Auctioneers Championship Contest held in Canada.

Troy currently works across the United States for other auction companies selling aviation, real estate, equipment, and since 1999 was an auctioneer for the Oil & Gas Clearinghouse in Houston, TX. Troy has previous experience in the service side of the oil field including, well servicing, kill truck and hot oilier operator. He has sold leases, production, royalties as well as, private negotiated sales. . He is married to wife Angie and has three children Brady, Haylee, Whitney and currently attends Emmanuel Baptist Church, Enid, Oklahoma.

Brian Simmons

Born in Missouri, Brian grew up in Waukomis, Oklahoma and was raised by a family greatly involved in the oil field for over 25 years. After graduating with honors from Waukomis High School, Brian graduated from Oklahoma City University with a bachelor degree in science in 2001.

While finishing college at OCU, he was hired at OU Medical Center in the summer of 2000. After multiple promotions, Brian was soon invited to become part of the leadership group at OU Medical Center and manager for the Center for Healthy Living, a department of the hospital.

After gaining a multitude of experience in health and wellness management, in 2006 he started his own company and became co-owner and President of Business Operations for FitCare, LLC, one of the first comprehensive corporate wellness, consulting, and management businesses in state.

In 2008 Brian attended the Petroleum Landman School in Oklahoma City and is excited to add another significant dimension to his career experience in becoming a new team member for Midwest Energy Auction.

Since marrying his lovely wife Lori in 2002, Brian and his wife have been blessed by two wonderful children and now reside outside of Oklahoma City.
